Shelburne Museum in Vermont names Jeff Bundy as new Director of Development

SHELBURNE, VT.- Shelburne Museum Director Thomas Denenberg announced that Jeff Bundy has been named director of development.

Bundy joins the museum after a decade at WHYY, the National Public Radio station and Public Broadcasting Service affiliate in Philadelphia.

“Shelburne Museum is fortunate to have a development director with Jeff’s depth and breadth of experience in both non-profit development and marketing,” Denenberg said. “Jeff brings energy and experience that will benefit the institution and our membership and have a direct impact as Shelburne transitions from seasonal to year-round operation.”

In his post at Shelburne Museum, Bundy will oversee all aspects of development including major giving, grants, membership, the annual fund and marketing.

“I can’t imagine a more exciting time to be joining Shelburne Museum. With the Pizzagalli Center ushering in a new era, I’m looking forward to both meeting the many supporters of the museum and helping to ensure that Shelburne is a dynamic cultural resource for generations to come,” Bundy said.

As director of member relations at WHYY, Bundy oversaw the non-profit TV and radio station’s membership program, generating more than $12 million in gross revenue from more than 100,000 members. In this position, Bundy oversaw all aspects of the station’s development including direct mail, telemarketing, events, on-air fundraising, corporate matching gifts and vehicle donations. Under his leadership, WHYY’s membership team grew membership by more than 10 percent and increased revenue to the organization by more than $1.4 million or 11 percent.

Prior to serving as director of member relations, Bundy was community relations manager at WHYY. Bundy, 35, is a graduate of Penn State University in State College, Pa. Bundy is the recipient of the Philadelphia Business Journal “40-Under-40” award, was a two-time recipient of the PBS Development Award for Innovation, and was awarded the Pennsylvania Public Television Network’s “Best Neighbor” award. He has won numerous Hermes Creative awards.

Bundy resides in South Burlington with his wife, Mary Bundy, and three children.
