ArtGuru analyses and recognises over 300.000 paintings in the UK in milliseconds
ArtGuru is your personal art assistant in your pocket.

LONDON.- Ever been in a gallery or museum and you had no idea what to see or what to look out for? Planned your trip to New York vigorously, but still only remember on your flight back that one painting you wanted to see? You really like that Van Gogh painting but want to know more about other paintings of him, asking yourself if there is an app for that?

There is. ArtGuru is your personal art assistant in your pocket.

Apart from storing paintings in the user’s own personal gallery, ArtGuru is built for virality. Users are able to share the paintings on their chosen social media network, building a relationship with followers, friends and family. The suggestion engine will recommend new artists and exhibitions designed not only on the likes of the user but also on the location. Additionally the app is providing a news feed, keeping the user up to date on what is happening in the art-scene in their city.

And the app is constantly evolving. Every two weeks new features are added, creating an app that is even more intuitive to use. Feedback is taken seriously and many of the features are based on user suggestions.

Based on Veezeon’s in-house developed Inception Engine, ArtGuru can analyse and recognise over 300.000 paintings in the UK in milliseconds. The software is cloud ready but will also run on the phone itself, making it even faster and more reliable. Since being part of the BizSpark Plus program, ArtGuru is hosted on Microsoft Azure. ArtGuru is currently running on all iOS7 and iOS8 devices. The Windows and Android version will be released very shortly.

ArtGuru is not relying on an internal infrastructure such as i-Beacons. The app also supports offline usage, making it possible to analyse the painting once an internet connection is available. To be able to do all that, ArtGuru has come a long way. Having already gained experience in building and maintaining revolutionary audio-guide systems for leading museums, the focus this was on creating something that is engaging for the user. To turn this idea into something tangible, great support was needed during the past year. ArtGuru has recently graduated from Microsoft Ventures Accelerator program and they have received funding of over £80.000.

Soon, ArtGuru will be available world-wide, being able to recognise every artwork out there.

The Windows and Android version will be released very shortly.
