TACOMA, WASH.- The Board of Trustees of
Museum of Glass and Susan Warner, Artistic Director and Major Gifts Officer, announce the appointment of Deborah Lenk as Interim Executive Director effective July 2, 2015. Lenk and Warner will collaborate in leading the Museum operations.
Deborah (Debbie) Lenk brings to the Museum expertise running businesses in large Fortune 100 companies and regional start-ups, as well as an extensive engineering and business background used to develop new products and businesses. Most recently, Lenk has worked as an executive consultant guiding business management teams to develop and implement improved operational plans. Lenk grew up in Utah and has lived in Washington State over 20 years. She has a deep appreciation of art and love of glass.
We are pleased to have Deborah join the Museum. Her proven leadership skills and business acumen will guide the outstanding staff, docents and volunteers of MOG to more and greater accomplishments, comments Board Chair Gail Weyerhaeuser.
Museum of Glass, which opened in 2002, has hosted visitors from all 50 states and over 75 countries and is a cornerstone in the redevelopment of downtown Tacoma. On July 25, Museum of Glass will open Chihulys Venetians and host a free, all-day celebration on August 1 called Party on the Piazza.
