NEW YORK.- As part of Hank Willis Thomass solo exhibition The Truth is I See You, on view at MetroTech Commons, Public Art Fund brings In Search of the Truth (The Truth Booth), Thomas's collaboration with Ryan Alexiev and Jim Ricks of the Cause Collective, to Downtown Brooklyn at four moments from August 2015 to May 2016. The Truth Booth is a mobile interactive video recording booth that has been presented in cities around the world, from Cape Town, South Africa and Bamyan, Afghanistan, to Galway, Ireland and Cleveland, Ohio. Members of the public are invited to enter the work and finish the statement The truth is
while looking into a camera. These two-minute responses will be compiled by the artists as part of the ongoing global project.
Recording our local communities responses to this universal idea, The Truth Booth will be presented:

October 15, 12 noon to 8pm at MetroTech Commons
May 2016

The CAUSE COLLECTIVE is a team of artists, designers and ethnographers creating innovative art in the public realm. Their projects explore and enliven public spaces by creating a dynamic conversation between issues, sites and the public audience. By exploring ideas that affect and shape society, they seek to add the "public" back into public space and art.
