Charles Blane named the new Managing Director of Spink USA
Recently, Mr Blane has been Business Manager for Spink’s world renowned Coin Department.



NEW YORK, NY.- Spink & Son, founded in 1666, the world's leading collectables auction house, announced a major development in the expansion of their North America operation. Charles Blane has been appointed Managing Director of Spink USA and has relocated to New York to further galvanize Spink's thriving American business. As a company spanning the globe with five offices in five different countries, this move will further strengthen Spink’s global outreach.

Mr Blane graduated from Southampton University and spent five years at Christie’s in London before joining the Chairman’s Office at Spink in 2012. More recently, Mr Blane has been Business Manager for Spink’s world renowned Coin Department. Mr. Blane successfully expanded the field of client relationships by implementing strong client coverage throughout the UK and Europe.

Mr Blane will work closely with the current Spink staff to further grow the business throughout the whole of the North America, focusing on quality numismatic and philatelic consignments for auction and sale by private treaty. Mr Blane will be based in Manhattan but will be travelling throughout North America on a regular basis.

Spink USA’s next philatelic auctions; The Charles W. Adams Collection of United States and Canada and the Philatelic Collector’s Series Sale will be held on 18th and 19th November 2015 and will feature British Columbia and Newfoundland. Spink USA’S Numismatic Collector’s Series Sale will be held on 11th and 12th January 2016 and will feature a rare collection of Irish Rebellion medals, foreign coins and world paper money.
