NEW YORK, NY.- Rozalia Jovanovic has been appointed Executive Editor of artnet News, the world's only 24-hour art news website.

Ms. Jovanovic was part of the original group of editors and writers who founded artnet News in early 2014 and comes to her new role with years of experience as a reporter and editor for publications including the New York Observer, BlackBook, ArtInfo.com, Flavorpill, and more recently at artnet News where she worked the art market beat. She holds an MFA from Columbia University and a law degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.

“It's been a privilege to have helped shape artnet News from its infancy and to have watched it very quickly establish itself as a go-to source for information about the art world and the art market for viewers all around the world," Ms. Jovanovic said. The site receives more than 1 million visitors a month, making it the most widely visited, dedicated art news site in the world.

Ms. Jovanovic, in her new role, takes the reins of the day-to-day news operation of the site, which has 15 full-time and 10 part-time employees in America, Asia, and Europe. In making the announcement, artnet News editor-in-chief Benjamin Genocchio praised Ms. Jovanovic for her calm manner, knowledge, and experience. "She's super smart, brave, demanding but always in a gracious way," he said in an email message to staff. "She is also an outstanding reporter, well known and liked in the art community, all of which make her an ideal choice for the role. I look forward to working closely with her to continue to deliver accurate, timely, informative and fun art news on a daily basis."

Ms. Jovanovic says that she is excited for all that is to come ahead. "I'm thrilled to be able to bring my experience to this new role at a company like artnet, a pioneer of the online art marketplace, which has peerless international reach and goodwill."
