Art Gallery of Nova Scotia appoints Diane Chisholm as new Chief Advancement Officer
Chisholm joins the Gallery from Dalhousie University, where she was Senior Development Officer, Office of the Vice-President and the Schulich School of Law.

HALIFAX.- The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia has appointed Diane Chisholm as Chief Advancement Officer. A senior development professional with a significant network and strong track record, Chisholm will lead a strategic review of fundraising at the Gallery and prepare a case for support for a capital campaign.

“The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia is building for the future,” said Lisa Bugden, Interim CEO. “From internationally-recognized exhibitions and innovative programming, to increased engagement efforts, the Gallery is poised for a new era in connecting communities and people with art. Diane’s skills and expertise will be key in helping to get us there.”

Chisholm joins the Gallery from Dalhousie University, where she was Senior Development Officer, Office of the Vice-President and the Schulich School of Law. During her 12-year tenure, she championed numerous development initiatives and was a major contributor in the recent success of the Bold Ambitions campaign, in which Dalhousie University raised over $280 million.

“I am profoundly honoured to join the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia in this new position, and I very much look forward to working with the team and the Board of Governors,” said Chisholm. “It’s an exciting time in the life of the Gallery. I am energized to begin laying the groundwork for the future of this world-class institution that serves as a hub of artistic and cultural energy in the region.”

Chisolm actively joins the Gallery on March 7. Beyond a focus on a capital campaign, her position will complement the Gallery’s current development and stewardship initiatives.
