CULVER CITY, CA.- Auctions America will reaffirm its reputation as the leading auction house serving the Southern California collector community in June with the presentation of its fourth annual Santa Monica sale. Returning to the historic Barker Hangar – a venue synonymous with the region’s leading events – this year’s auction is scheduled June 25–26.
In just three years, the annual Auctions America sale has emerged as a new highlight on the Southern California collector car scene, raising the bar for collector car auctions with its quality and diversity of product, and innovative presentation. This year’s sale promises to continue the momentum, lifting the gavel on an eclectic assortment of some 300 quality collector cars and select automobilia. From European and American sports and GT cars, to prewar classics, hot rods, customs and modern supercars, the offering has again been carefully curated by Auctions America specialists to appeal to diverse Southern California tastes.

Early highlights for the Santa Monica auction are led by a 1996 Ferrari F50. Finished in traditional Rosso Corsa over a two-tone black and red interior, the featured F50 is one of only 55 U.S.-specification examples built. The recipient of a full major-service, which included replacement of its fuel bladders, it has been driven sparingly since, leaving it ready for its next owner to drive and enjoy. Recently granted Ferrari Classiche certification, it would make a great addition to any collection of Maranello’s finest (Est. $1,800,000 - $2,100,000).
The F50 headlines a superb docket of European automobiles already secured for the June sale. Other standout lots, also from the famed Prancing Horse, include a desirable 1970 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona “Euro”, offered fresh to the U.S. market from Japan, and benefitting from a recent cosmetic refinishing by noted Ferrari experts (Est. $750,000 - $850,000); and a low-mileage 1974 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS, presented in striking yellow over black interior, and complete with books and tools (Est. $325,000 - $375,000).
For enthusiasts of American-built automobiles, there’ll also be choices aplenty, including a spectacularly restored 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 – the ultimate pony car. Resplendent in Candy Apple Red with a black interior, the Mustang comes to auction fresh from a three-year professional restoration, well-documented, and showing just 35,000 miles (Est. $250,000 - $275,000). Additional American-built highlights include a series of 10 cars from the respected Midwest Duffy Grove Collection, including a 1958 Chevrolet Impala Fuel-Injected Convertible, stunning in Onyx Black over a black/silver/turquoise interior (Est. $120,000 - $150,000); and a restored 1958 Buick Limited Convertible, equipped with a Flight Pitch Dynaflow transmission, Wonderbar radio, Autronic eye and power seats (Est. $140,000 - $160,000).
Other notable entries slated for Auctions America’s Santa Monica stage include an assortment of motorcycles, scooters and cars from the personal collection of Vinnie Mandzak, a well-respected and much-loved Southern California automotive identity, along with a select group of cars donated to the Petersen Museum specifically for fundraising purposes.
