HONG KONG.- Lumieres Hong Kong, a mega event sponsored by the Mega Events Fund and The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, announces its upcoming debut in November 2016, from 18th to 20th. Inspired by the world-renowned event in Lyon, France, Fête des Lumières (The Festival of Lights), Lumieres Hong Kong aims to illuminate Hong Kong with an array of multidiscipline installations projected on some of the citys most iconic landmarks. Accompanied by performance, audio effects and interaction with audience, the festival will provide a truly global platform for local and international audience to appreciate and celebrate the history, culture and heritage of Hong Kong.

I am confident that this mega event will attract the attention of local and international audience and surely become one of the highlights in Hong Kongs events calendar.
Ms Rhoda Chan, Head of Charities (Grant Making Sports, Recreation, Arts and Culture) of The Hong Kong Jockey Club said, The Club attaches great importance to enhancing art accessibility for all, building platforms to showcase local talent, and encouraging exchange with international artists. In this case, our donation for Lumières Hong Kong not only covers the arts creation aspect, but also the launch of the Jockey Club Lumières Hong Kong Education Outreach Programme, through which young people and students will be able to join the public performances, create their own art pieces and help formulate the storyline of the lighting shows with local artists, exploring and showcasing their talents.
