PALM DESERT, CA.- Heather James Fine Art offers special Lawrence Schiller Marilyn Monroe photography auction benefitting FIND Food Bank.
Lawrence Schiller, renowned photographer, director and author, famously photographed Marilyn Monroe multiple times near the end of her life. Hollywood starlet. Sex symbol. American icon. Marilyn Monroes status as an enduring figure of glamour made her one of the most famous women in American history. Of all the images shot of the incomparable movie star, the most iconic were those taken by Schiller.
Printed from film that was lost for decades, Schiller made only 75 editions of these breathtaking photographs, and none will ever be created again. From the 1960 candid image shot during the filming of Lets Make Love, to the legendary poolside photoshoot on the set of Somethings Got To Give in 1962, each image pays homage to the vibrant, unforgettable woman that was Marilyn Monroe through the lens of a virtuoso. Each photo measures 20 x 24 inches, of which 10 images are silver gelatin prints and two are color photographs. Each image is numbered and signed by Schiller.
Bidders can take home one of these magnificent photographs to benefit FIND Food Bank. Food In Need of Distribution, Inc.
