DALLAS, TX.- Heritage Auctions has brought together a wide selection of fine silver and objects of vertu for the April 20 Fine Silver and Objects of Vertu Signature Auction in Dallas, Texas. The offerings will span the globe with works from the United States, England, Europe and Mexico.

A beautiful Buccellati Silver Tureen with Double Pheasant Dome (est. $20,000-30,000) and single Buccellati Silver Standing Pheasant (est. $10,000-15,000) adorn the cover of the Silver & Objects of Vertu auction catalog. Resting atop the wide and shallow tureen are a pair of naturalistic male pheasants with raised tail feather create a soaring apex.

The auction also includes silver by Paul Storr featuring a Fine Pair of Paul Storr Gilt Silver Wine Coolers for Rundell, Bridge & Rundell, (est. $30,000-50,000) London, England, circa 1813. The wine coolers are inscribed in Latin to the base suggesting an important commission, manufactured during Storr's partnership with Philip Rundell, John Bridge, Edmund Waller Rundell and William Theed.

Two Vanderbilt lots are featured including a rare Forty-Eight Piece Tiffany & Co. William K. Vanderbilt Pattern Flatware Service (est. $20,000-30,000), which along with its sister service, the Cornelius Vanderbilt pattern, are two of approximately 10 known private flatware patterns produced by Tiffany & Company in the last quarter of the nineteenth century and An Eight-Piece Howard & Co. Silver Tea and Coffee Presentation Service Gifted to Emily Vanderbilt Sloane (est. $10,000-15,000). The service was presented as a wedding gift with each vessel monogrammed EVS and JHH to opposing cartouches and the tray reverse presentation plaque inscribed: Emily Vanderbilt Sloane, on the occasion, of her marriage with, John Henry Hammond, from her aunt, Margaret L.V. Shepard, April 5th 1899.

Most likely a parting gift to Commodore Abraham L. English this Silver Philadelphia Yacht Club Nautical Presentation Punch Bowl and Ladle, attributed to Dominick & Haff (est. $8,000-12,000) features a finely detailed rope border embellished by square knots above front and back, front exhibiting acid-etched cartouche depicting the 130 foot steam yacht Giralda, the flagship of the Philadelphia Yacht Club. English served as fleet commodore at the Philadelphia Yacht Club before rising to the elected rank of Commodore in 1900.

A private East Coast collection of more than 175 lots of Mexican silver jewelry and hollowware showcases the work of the great mid-20th century Mexican silversmiths, including Fred Davis, Antonio Pineda, Hector Aguilar, Salvador Terán and Margot de Taxco. The collection includes iconic designs, showing the breadth of work produced in Mexico during this period.

A Charles Eley Silver-Gilt Tazza Centerpiece Bearing the Arms of Francis Edward Rawdon-Hastings, 1st Marquess of Hastings, (est. $5,000-7,000) received shortly before his death. Francis Edward Rawdon-Hastings (1754-1826) was a prominent Anglo-Irish British military officer and politician, who participated in some of the Great Britain's most historic military campaigns in the 18th century. During the American Revolution Rawdon commanded the regiment at the Battles of Lexington and Concord, and at the Battle of Bunker Hill. He was eventually promoted to the position of adjutant general.

Also drawing attention from collectors will be a Joseph Etienne Blerzy Louis XVI Enameled Gold Snuff Box (est. $7,000-10,000) with gold and green paillon floating over a translucent sapphire-blue enamel above a moiré ground.

A Walther Eberbach German Partial-Gilt Silver, Enamel, and Hardstone-Mounted Presentation Ewer gifted by Prince Hugo Hohenlohe-Öhringen, Duke of Ujest,(est. $12,000-18,000). Hugo was the son of Prince August von Hohenlohe-Oehringen (1784-1853) and Luise of Württemberg (1789-1851). He married Princess Pauline of Fürstenberg (1829-1900) in 1847. Hugo and Pauline were the parents of Princess Margarethe of Hohenlohe-Öhringen (1865 -1940), second wife of Wilhelm, Count of Hohenau.

A Pair of Georg Jensen Silver Five-Light Candelabra, (est. $15,000-25,000) designed by Johan Rohde, Copenhagen, circa 1945-1977

A Tiffany & Co. Japanesque Silver and Mixed-Metal Bottleneck Vase, (est. $4,000-6,000), hand-hammered silver vase with applied mixed metals foliage with incised sinuous vines throughout the vase, as well as applied hovering dragonfly and a butterfly with mokume gane wings.

A Rare Bell & Brothers Coin Silver Mug, (est. $5,000-7,000), by the famed San Antonio Silversmiths. Cup engraved Robt Lee Withers, from his, God Mother. The recipient is likely Robert Lee Withers, a lifelong resident of San Antonio and was a well-respected doctor within the community. Withers' father, John, was a prominent San Antonian and who served under General Robert E. Lee in both the U.S. and Confederate Armies.
