PinchukArtCentre announces the members of the selection committee for the PinchukArtCentre Prize 2018
Ksenia Malykh, art historian, member of the PinchukArtCentre’s Research Platform team, co-founder of OK Projects, curator of the visual program of the Closer art center, member of the expert council for contemporary art at the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.



KIEV.- The PinchukArtCentre has named the members of the selection committee who will choose 20 nominees for the 5th edition of the PinchukArtCentre Prize, the first privately funded nationwide award in contemporary art for young Ukrainian artists up to 35.

The members of the selection committee in 2018 are:

• Andrij Bojarov, artist and independent curator of media art and photography projects;

• Tatiana Kochubinska, curator of the Research Platform at the PinchukArtCentre, art historian, researcher;

• Ksenia Malykh, art historian, member of the PinchukArtCentre’s Research Platform team, co-founder of OK Projects, curator of the visual program of the Closer art center, member of the expert council for contemporary art at the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine;

• Tiberiy Szilvashi, artist, curator, lecturer, and essayist;

• Yulia Vaganova, art manager, art historian, curator of programs and deputy director on museum and exhibition work of the Mystetskyi Arsenal.

The shortlisted artists will be selected and announced in the beginning of September 2017. An exhibition of the works of the twenty nominees will go on show at the PinchukArtCentre from February to May 2018.

The winners of the Prize will be announced at the award ceremony in March 2018. A distinguished international jury will award the Main Prize of UAH 250 000 and two Special Prizes of UAH 60 000 each. In addition, the winners will each have an internship in studios of the world’s leading artists. A Public Choice winner will be determined by votes of the visitors attending the exhibition of the shortlisted artists and will be awarded UAH 25 000.

The winner of the Main Prize will be automatically included in the shortlist of the
Future Generation Art Prize 2019 – an international art prize for young artists.

Application procedure for the PinchukArtCentre Prize 2018 is open until July 28. The competition is open to all artists up to the age of 35 of all backgrounds, working in any medium.
