LONDON.- Lost Senses is a living space for encounters, open everyday to everyone.
Revisiting the exhibition as format and exploring the gallery space as a fluid cultural site, artists and practitioners will work in close relation with people reorganising the selfs relation to perception. The notion of direct material experience in modernity has fallen into a semantic crisis which does not leave enough space for moments of Real and shared embodiment. The purpose of the project is to create new collective experiences and ways to actively participate in everyday life.
Lost Senses is structured around a one-month campus for kids and adults to experience and enjoy senses, remembering that embodiment is not textual but consumed by a world filled with smells, textures, sights, sounds and tastes. Generating a re-opening of senses exploring otherness, lost and participation, everyday life will be critically tested as a never static reality made of bodies, time and experiences.
During 30 days, the space will be open everyday, promoting an entire set of live experimentations aimed to open, confuse and reshape senses - generating broader critical reflections on our own identities, our planet and beyond.
Lost Senses wants to stretch the traditional means and meanings of Art by questioning its own infrastructures and modus operandi. The exhibition is meant to be visit and re-visit, if not inhabited, as space for reverie and intellectual exchange. A place for people to congregate and share opportunities, to participate - despite apathy and social closure.
