TULSA, OKLA.- 108|Contemporary announced that Susan Baley, Executive Director of the Swope Art Museum, has been selected as their new Executive Director. Baley will assume the position in November.
During Baleys tenure at the Swope Art Museum in Terra Haute, IN, she expanded the museums audience by adding several ongoing programs, including Art Start for children ages 3 to 5, Second Saturday Studio for visitors of all ages, and Museum on the Move for underserved families. Under her leadership, the museum increased attendance by over 66%. From 1998 to 2015, Baley served as Director of Education of the Fred Jones Museum of Art at the University of Oklahoma, Norman, developing programs such as Art After Noon, Sooner Museum Quest, and FREDtalks: Creative Conversations, Meditation in the Museum. She also held many offices on the boards of the Oklahoma Museums Association and the Mountain-Plains Museums Association.

Baley has a BFA magna cum laude from Wichita State University, an MA in art history from the University of Oklahoma, and a Certificate in Non-Profit Executive Leadership from Indiana University.
