TEL AVIV.- Two of the leading art galleries in Israel are defining a new art district in the south-west part of Tel Aviv.
Opening on August 30th, both galleries will operate in adjacent and sizeable exhibition spaces at the corner of Hazerem and HaManoa Streets, Tel-Aviv.
The facade of both galleries was designed by international artist and designer Ron Arad. The facade is a kind of shell with windows that serve as bulletin boards for the exhibitions inside. The exhibition spaces are 400 square meters, each.
Opening receptions will host 2 solo exhibitions for Israeli Artist Ofer Lalush at
Gordon Gallery and for American artist Joel Morrison at
Alon Segev Gallery.
Gordon Gallery
After 40 years of activity in Ben Yehuda Street in Tel Aviv, the Gordon Gallery is relocating to a new space in south Tel Aviv, 5 Hazerem Street
The new Gordon Gallery will open with a sculpture exhibition by the artist Ofer Lalush. Michal Tzarfati is responsible for the interior design of the Gallery, which is composed of two large exhibition spaces alongside an extensive showroom that will be dedicated to the gallery collection. The new gallery follows the opening of the Gordon Gallery in Pellech Street in 2016 and is located nearby. Over the coming year the Gordon Gallery will feature exhibitions by contemporary Israeli and international artists, including FAILE, Amir H. Fallah, Sharon Poliakine, Adam Yakutieli, Maya Cohen Levy and others.
Alon Segev Gallery
After 9 years of activity at 6 Rothschild Blvd., Tel Aviv, Alon Segev Gallery is relocating to a new space at 7 HaManoa Street.
Alon Segev Gallery will open its doors with a sculpture exhibition by the American artist Joel Morrison. The interior of the Alon Segev Gallery was designed by the architects Arnon Nir and Yishai Breslauer as an exhibition space intended for art of all mediums: sculpture, painting, drawing and site specific installations. Over the coming year Alon Segev Gallery will feature exhibitions by Arik Levy, Eyal Gever and other gallery artists.
