Bonhams appoints Giles Moon as Director of Music & Entertainment Memorabilia

SAN FRANCISCO, CA.- The international auction house Bonhams announced that Giles Moon will join the company as Director of Music & Entertainment Memorabilia. He takes up his new position with immediate effect based in Bonhams San Francisco office.

Mr. Moon has been in the auction business for more than 30 years working for Christie’s in London, Sotheby’s in New York, Bonhams & Goodman and Leonard Joel in Australia and most recently, Heritage in San Francisco. His expertise is in Rock & Roll Memorabilia, but he has a strong base in general entertainment and collectibles as well. In his career, he’s handled estates and collections such as the Cynthia Lennon Collection of John Lennon Memorabilia, property from the Spice Girls, the Charlie Parker collection, The Estate of Clayton Moore (TV’s Lone Ranger), and the Estate of Whitney Houston, among many others. He has appeared on the BBC version of Antiques Roadshow and is currently a regular appraiser on the PBS version as well.
