HAMBURG.- As a consequence of the excellent results that the 1 € Fine Art Auctions have yielded and just in time for the company’s 65th anniversary, Ketterer Kunst launches a broad online presence for its Rare Books Department. The saleroom auction in Hamburg on May 27 will be accompanied by an online book auction that runs until May 29. All objects of the online offer will be called up with a starting price of 1 €.

This extremely attractive calling price promises thrilling bidding races. The bibliophile gems from five centuries have estimate prices of up to € 10,000 and a sales volume of around € 90,000. In total around 100 objects from fields such as Architecture, Facsimiles, Children's Books, Modern Literature, Natural History and World Literature will go under the virtual hammer.

Next to Johann Jakob Marinoni‘s important astronomical main work “De astronomica specula“ and Tommaso Filippo Marinetti‘s renowned publication on the typography of Futurism and Giovanni Battista Falda‘s rare first edition of the series of splendid coppers “Il nuovo teatro“ with views of Rome, the offer includes Lily Hildebrandt‘s “Klein-Rainers Weltreise“, one of the most prominent examples of an experimental picture book, as well as Lena Leclercq‘s first de-luxe edition of “La rose est nue“ with original color etchings by Max Ernst.
