PHILADELPHIA, PA.- Freeman’s November 5 auction of Fine Jewelry will showcase a beautiful variety of brooches, rings, necklaces, earrings and more, many by renowned designers including Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Tiffany & Co., among many others.

As part of this auction, Freeman’s presents the collection of Stephanie “Sandy” Eglin, a Philadelphia business woman and philanthropist whose passion for fashion and jewelry helped her to amass a widely varied and beautiful assortment of pieces. Mrs. Eglin’s taste was refined and discerning, and her jewelry is both relevant to the time in which it was purchased, and simultaneously timeless. Noteworthy pieces from the collection are several bracelets, including an 18k gold, emerald, ruby, and diamond semi-flexible bangle bracelet, with a total diamond weight of 7.00 carats (Lot 164; $4,000-6,000), a diamond and platinum strap bracelet by Cartier, set with pear-shaped and other, various shaped diamonds, with an estimated total diamond weight of 20.00 carats (Lot 191; $20,000-30,000), and a platinum, sapphire, and diamond wide bracelet with channel-set sapphire rows alternating with straight baguette-cut diamond rows. This impressive bracelet boasts an estimated total diamond weight of 5.00 carats, and an estimated total sapphire weight of 52.00 carats (Lot 175; $12,000-15,000). The Eglin collection also features several diamond solitaires, one being a Cartier diamond solitaire centering a marquise-cut diamond and weighing 4.08 carats, flanked by straight baguette-cut diamonds and mounted in platinum (Lot 194; $60,000-80,000); a marquise-cut diamond weighing 6.64 carats, flanked by tapering baguettes and mounted in platinum (Lot 192; $25,000-30,000); as well as an emerald, diamond, and 14k white gold ring centering an extraordinary emerald-cut emerald and flanked by triangular-cut diamonds (Lot 182; $12,000-15,000).

Auction highlights
The auction will feature a number of notable and interesting brooches, including an autumnal 18k gold, diamond, and coral brooch by Tiffany & Co. in a textured leaf and acorn motif (Lot 21; $2,000-3,000), an 18k gold, white and yellow diamond brooch designed as a frog (Lot 40; $4,000-6,000), an 18k gold, platinum, and diamond brooch, charmingly designed as a unicorn with a blue enamel collar and a ruby eye (Lot 179; $3,000-5,000), and a diamond brooch designed as a bow, featuring two pear shaped diamonds centered by two European-cut diamonds within a circular and rose-cut diamond frame (Lot 181; $20,000-30,000). Other highlights will be a number of rings, including an Art Deco diamond, sapphire, and platinum ring featuring an oval-cut center sapphire (Lot 84; $2,000-3,000), and a diamond solitaire centering a round brilliant-cut diamond weighing 4.35 carats and set in 14k yellow gold (Lot 188; $30,000-50,000). Additional bands include a striking diamond, 18k gold, and platinum band by Tiffany & Co. (Lot 189; $4,000-6,000), and a diamond and platinum “Sixteen Stone” band, also by Tiffany & Co., set with round, brilliant cut diamonds and with an estimated total diamond weight of 1.60 carats (Lot 187; $5,000-7,000). Additional noteworthy lots include a pair of 18k gold, enamel, and diamond earrings designed as beautiful flowers by Tiffany & Co. (Lot 53; $1,500-2,000), and an 18k yellow gold bead and tassel necklace with diamonds by Van Cleef & Arpels (Lot 99; $10,000-12,000).
