WASHINGTON, D.C.- U.S. Army Vietnam veterans Ron Worstell (L) and Doc Spresser (R) hang Christmas cards on a tree sponsored by The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial December 22, 2004 in Washington, DC. The event honors veterans and active-duty military personnel. Volunteers and a small group of service members from Walter Reed Army Hospital (who recently served in Operation Iraqi Freedom) placed the Christmas tree at the apex of Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall. The cards on the tree are written for veterans by volunteers and visitors.
