MILAN.- miart, the international modern and contemporary art fair organized by Fiera Milano, announced the first edition of the INNSiDE Prize.

Conceived as a new partnership between miart and the Hotel INNSiDE By Melia Milano Torre GalFa, the prize of Euro 8.000 will be awarded to the gallery which presents the best solo or two-person exhibition during miart 2020. The award is designed to encourage support for artists whose work helps to focus the eyes of the art world on the pressing issues of our time, with a particular emphasis on social inclusion, environmental sustainability, global changes and new interpretations of the concept of identity.

Hosting 183 galleries from 20 countries, miart will showcase works by modern masters, contemporary established artists, emerging talents, and renowned and experimental designers across its sections, providing a forum for dialogue between modern art, contemporary art and collectable design.

The Established Contemporary section will feature solo shows by Nebojsa Despotovic (Boccanera, Trento – Milan), Remo Salvadori (BUILDING, Milan), Imran Qureshi (Corvi-Mora, London), Nicole Gravier (Ermes-Ermes, Vienna), John Chamberlain (Karsten Greve, St. Moritz – Paris – Cologne), Andreas Fogarasi (Federico Luger, Milan), Simon Starling (Franco Noero, Turin), Mounir Fatmi (Officine dell'Immagine, Milan), Luigi Carboni (OTTO Gallery, Milan), Paul Graham (Anthony Reynolds, London), Jody Paulsen (Smac, Cape Town – Johannesburg – Stellenbosch), Allison Zuckerman (Stems, Brussels – Luxembourg), and Giovanni Kronenberg (Z2o Sara Zanin, Rome).

The two-person exhibitions featured in this section include Eileen Quinlan + Rochelle Feinstein (Campoli Presti, London), Roberto Sironi + Marcin Rusak (Carwan Gallery, London – Athens), Marguerite Humeau + Jean-Marie Appriou (Clearing, Brussels – New York – Brooklyn), Antonio Marras + Guido Gambone (Galleria Rossella Colombari, Milan), Renaud Jerez + Ad Minoliti (Crevecoeur, Paris – Marseilles), Elif Erkan + Margherita Moscardini (Renata Fabbri, Milan), João Freitas + Emanuele Becheri (FuoriCampo, Siena), Edith Dekyndt + Janice Kerbel (Karin Guenther, Hamburg), Inge Mahn + Vivian Greven (Kadel Willborn, Düsseldorf), Rezi van Lankveld + Sascha Braunig (Office Baroque, Brussels), Marcos Lutyens + Christian Fogarolli (Alberta Pane, Venice – Paris), Luigi Mainolfi + Ivano Troisi (Nicola Pedana, Caserta), Corrado Levi + Oren Pinhassi (Ribot, Milan), and Riccardo Benassi + Massimo Grimaldi (ZERO…, Milan).

The Established Masters section will feature solo shows by Carlo Ramous (Artesilva, Seregno), Fausta Squatriti (Galleria Bianconi, Milan), Sylvano Bussotti (Galleria Clivio, Parma), Vasco Bendini (Conceptual, Milan), Ferruccio Bortoluzzi (Gomiero, Milan), Grazia Varisco (M77, Milan), Nahum Tevet (Maab, Milan – Padua), Mattia Moreni (Il Ponte, Florence), and Lucio Fontana (Robilant+Voena, London – Milan – St. Moritz).

The two-person exhibitions featured in this section include Luigi Veronesi + Franco Grignani (10 A.M. Art, Milan), Tomas Rajlich + Nanni Valentini (Abc-arte, Genoa), Gianni Pettena + James Wines (Giovanni Bonelli, Milan), Emilio Scanavino + Alik Cavaliere (Copetti Antiquari, Udine), and Cesare Leonardi + Ugo La Pietra (Antonio Verolino, Modena).
