HONG KONG.- Open for bidding from 2 to 14 September, Intersect is an online-only auction with a one-stop lifestyle concept that embodies the idea of art-meets-luxury. Following the notable success of Phillips’ first cross-category online auction held in May, the second cross-category online auction assembled by its Asia team comprises a tightly-curated selection of contemporary artworks and editions, alongside watches and jewellery, totaling more than 110 lots. Featured in the sale are works by established and in demand artists such as Banksy, Yayoi Kusama, and Keith Haring, as well as cutting-edge contemporary artists such as Daniel Arsham, Josh Sperling, Izumi Kato, and Mr.. The sale also offers elegant wristwatches by Vacheron Constantin, IWC, alongside edgy timepieces from Urwerk, MB&F, and colourful jewels created by renowned jewellery houses including GRAFF, Bulgari and Van Cleef & Arpels.

Delissa Handoko, Head of Online Sales, Hong Kong, Phillips, said, “Our inaugural cross-category online auction, REFRESH: RELOAD, held in May provided us a unique opportunity to engage with a broader scope of collectors with diverse interests. With a 90% sell through rate and 56% of participants new to Phillips, the sale achieved great success and set the highest ever online sale result in Phillips’ history. Launching this Fall, INTERSECT marks another step forward as we continue to invest in digital initiatives that expand buying opportunities for the growing number of new and existing clients who bid online.”

Highlights from INTERSECT include KAWS’ TENSION, a portfolio of 10 screenprints in colours to appear at auction for the first time, and a complete set of 9 works from Daniel Arsham’s acclaimed Future Relics series. Other notable pieces include an iconic Banksy Girl with Balloon edition and a large canvas work by Josh Sperling. Alongside contemporary art pieces are an array of wristwatches, clocks, rings, bracelets, and necklaces from some of the most sought-after watchmakers and jewellers.

The bidding opens on 2 September 12am HKT and will begin closing on 14 September at 6pm HKT.
