Furthermore, as a singer, he released the other two albums. In 1998, he released a second album, Vincent LaGuardia Gambini, and the next in 2019, named Still Singing.

Similarly, he had joined the comedy local clubs in New Jersey, along with the actor Frank Vincent in his early 20s. Also, they together got a chance to be in a play on Abbot and Costello. Meanwhile, in 1976, Joe debuted in the film, The Death Collector. Unfortunately, the film did not go well, and Joe did a job back in a hotel.

However, his struggle did not go waste. He had his breakthrough role in the film, Raging Bull, in 1979. As a best-supporting actor, he did not only became a nominee for awards but also won the BAFTA Award. Then, he had his other right roles in the film, Eureka, Dear Mr. Wonderful, and Easy Money. Moreover, he started getting offers for numerous films.

In 1990, he had his film Goodfellas released, from where he gained wide fame. Also, he won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for the film. Also, he played as Harry in the hit film, Home Alone. Again, as he had a great appearance, he reappeared in the sequence Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.

Likewise, the actor has also featured in the hit films like JFK, The Public Eye, My Cousin Vinny, and Man on Fire, among several others. In 1999, Joe also had declared his retirement from acting so that he could flourish his career in music. However, he returned to the acting, appearing in the film, The Good Shephard. Meanwhile, he also had appeared in Love Ranch, Snickers, and The Irishman.
