Ed Ruscha Commissioned For Two Works |
SAN FRANCISCO, CA.- The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco has commissioned artist Ed Ruscha to create two paintings to be shown alongside the work "A Particular Kind of Heaven (1983) by the same artist.
Museums director Harry Parker said, These two new commissioned works by one of America's foremost living artists not only will expand the Fine Arts Museums' holdings of Ruscha's work, but will also augment 'Particular Kind of Heaven' in a way that creates a dynamic three-part work that is truly greater than the sum of its parts."
