What You Need To Know About CBD Concentrates

What are CBD concentrates?
CBD concentrates are CBD products that mostly contain CBD, such as CBD delta 8 distillate, CBD isolate, and others. Due to the large proportion of CBD, people can enjoy a higher dose of CBD when taking these concentrates and feel their effects in a shorter time span. For this reason, many people prefer them to products that merely contain CBD as an ingredient.

There are benefits to CBD concentrates that make them preferable to regular products, though they aren’t made for everyone. Some people may be very sensitive to some of the other compounds that are found in some CBD products. Full-spectrum CBD oil is a good example here.

CBD itself is one of over 150 cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. Due to higher interest in CBD in particular and cannabis in general, lots of people have selectively bred the plant to produce strains with higher levels of CBD than others.

CBD has no psychoactive effects, which is to say it doesn’t place users in an altered state of consciousness. In fact, the only cannabinoid that causes that familiar ‘high’ in marijuana is THC (in all its variants). That means that no matter how high a dose of CBD you take, you won’t get intoxicated.

CBD products themselves exist in all sorts of forms, and at all sorts of concentration. Note that these products aren’t regulated, so you have to be very careful about which manufacturer you buy from for quality’s sake. You should also take lower doses when you’re starting out to get a feel for what’s right for your body. Only after you’re used to those lower doses should you take more.

What are the effects of CBD concentrates?
They have pretty much the same therapeutic benefits as other products that contain CBD. CBD activates receptors in the body’s endocannabinoid system, or ECS. As such, it has certain benefits related to the body’s ability to regulate different aspects of our wellbeing. The exact effects will depend on how sensitive you are to CBD, as well as how large a dose you’ve taken, but they generally include the following:

● Relief from anxiety
● Relief from pain
● Relief from stress
● An increase in appetite
● Anti-inflammatory properties
● Anti-oxidative properties
● Anti-arthritic properties

Studies also show that CBD has promising benefits for the nervous system in general and people suffering from neuropathic diseases in particular. There may also be other uses due to potential antibacterial and antifungal properties.

There are also other factors directly related to CBD concentrates (as opposed to other CBD products) that imbue them with specific benefits:

The terpenes in them
Terpenes are the compounds responsible for the distinct aromas in different plants, and cannabis has them in plenty. Some of the terpenes in cannabis are humulene, linalool, limonene, and myrcene, among others. Evidence from research suggests that terpenes and cannabinoids work well together through something called the ‘entourage effect’. Basically, the presence of terpenes (and even other cannabinoids) enhances the benefits of CBD, making it even more potent.

The purity of the concentrate
CBD concentrates are purer than other CBD products. When the process is carried out correctly, it’s possible to have a CBD concentrate that’s over 99% pure. Speaking of pure, you can find that on reputable websites of weeds for sale. This is a preference for some users.

You get higher doses for less
Since CBD concentrates have higher purity, you can easily achieve a high dose with just a little concentrate.

The effects kick in faster
This is one of the main reasons people love CBD concentrates. Since you’re getting more for less, the effects of CBD kick in faster. People especially love to smoke CBD concentrates via vapes, as the delivery via inhalation gets the effects to kick in even faster. If you have low sensitivity to CBD, or just want the effects to kick in faster, consider switching to CBD concentrates.
