Freeman's revamps luxury offerings with new talent and fine jewelry and watches auction offerings
Freeman’s has appointed Lourdes Winnick to Head of Department of Jewelry and Watches.

PHILADELPHIA, PA.- Freeman’s announced the growth and development of its Jewelry and Watches and Luxury departments, from new appointments to expanded and refined auction offerings.

LUXURY OFFERINGS THIS SPRING AND SUMMER

The addition of new specialists, new outreach and marketing strategies, and a holistic reimagining of our Luxe sale brand means that consignors and buyers alike can look forward to auctions, content, and events centered around fine and brand-name jewelry, watches, fashion, culture, and craftsmanship, from both local and international perspectives.

Two back-to-back auctions on May 18 and 19, Jewelry and Watches and Luxe: Boutique Jewels, highlight both the expertise of new hires and the department’s focus on luxury goods across categories. From pieces by Tiffany & Co., Patek Philippe, and Hermès to classic diamond solitaires, gold necklaces, and statement brooches, Freeman’s spring luxury sales bring clients ample opportunities to add exquisite works to their collections.

NEW JEWELRY AND WATCHES TALENT

Freeman’s has appointed Lourdes Winnick to Head of Department of Jewelry and Watches. Winnick brings two decades of hands-on jewelry experience to Freeman’s, including as a partner of two successful fine jewelry retail stores in Long Beach, California. A Southern California native with deep family roots in the Sonoran desert and the Riviera Nayarit, Winnick is the first Latin American woman to hold a department head title in Freeman’s 217-year history. Winnick is already re-envisioning Freeman’s luxury offerings, highlighting the work of local artisans alongside classic Swiss timepieces and platinum and gold period jewelry, two of her areas of specialization.

Samira Mazloom joins Freeman’s as a specialist in the Jewelry and Watches department, where she puts her gemology, marketing, advertising, and business development skills and past experience to work in appraising, authenticating, and evaluating works. As the third generation of jewelers in her family, Samira’s love for jewelry is instinctive; her initial official involvement in the industry was accompanying her father as an interpreter on his business trips. Mazloom brings years of insight into mining, gem and diamond cutting, and manufacturing to Freeman’s, and joins Winnick in bringing significant and fresh-to-market works to Freeman’s Jewelry and Watches and Luxe sales.

“I am thrilled to have the talent and insight of Lourdes and Samira as head of department and specialist in our Jewelry and Watches department,” says Fraser Niven, Freeman’s Chief Executive Officer. “I have no doubt that their expertise will move the department forward by elevating both the buyer and consignor auction experience.”
