BRIC officially reopening to the public, welcomes community back to BRIC House
After 2.5 years of closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, BRIC will once again be a space for its community to safely gather.

BROOKLYN, NY.- BRIC, a leading, multi-disciplinary arts and media institution anchored in downtown Brooklyn, announced the reopening of BRIC House, a 40,000 sq foot space that hosts exhibitions, a performance space, a flexible artist studio, a state-of-the-art public access television center, a café, and classroom space. BRIC will begin welcoming their community back on September 12th, with a reopening celebration on September 21st from 7PM - 9PM at the opening reception for their fall gallery exhibition Rodrigo Valuenzela: New Works for a Post Worker’s World. RSVPs are encouraged.

Since closing to the public during the COVID-19 pandemic, BRIC House has only opened its doors for select programming and events, and the media center has been available by appointment only. Following the official reopening, BRIC House will once again be available as a space for the BRIC community to gather, hold meetings, and hang out with one another on a daily basis. People can lounge in the lobby area, sit together on the stoop, enjoy the café, explore contemporary art exhibitions, and access the media center’s tools and resources.

Proof of vaccination or negative lab-administered COVID-19 tests are still required for entry into BRIC House.

Wes Jackson, BRIC President said today: "I couldn't be more thrilled to welcome our community back to BRIC House, a space I often refer to as 'Brooklyn's Town Square.' Lifting up the work of Rodrigo Valuenzela and our Contemporary Art team is a natural way to welcome people back into our home and continue the artistic dialogue as we look ahead to the fall. I'm ecstatic to have artists and media makers once again fill the BRIC House halls and join us in building Brooklyn's creative future."
