The works will be on view at Booth N4 at the Javits Center from Friday, September 9th through Sunday, September 11th.

NEW YORK, NY.- ART FOR CHANGE, a leading art platform for the socially conscious collector, presents a new collection of hand-embellished and signed and numbered limited edition prints from six Latinx artists, including Danielle De Jesus, Larissa De Jesús Negrón, Lucia Hierro, José Lerma, Devin Osorio, and Jean-Pierre Villafañe. The Latinx focus of the series echoes the Armory Show’s broader focus on the work of Latinx artists, underscoring this remarkable moment in the fair’s four decade history. ART FOR CHANGE will donate a portion of proceeds from each print sold to Independent Curators International (ICI) in support of the organization’s initiatives that create strong art communities through experimentation, collaboration, and international engagement.

“ART FOR CHANGE is thrilled to be working with Independent Curators International on this incredibly meaningful collection of works showcasing a new generation of talented Latinx artists,” shared Jeanne Masel, ART FOR CHANGE Founder. “While this is ART FOR CHANGE’s fourth collaboration with ICI over the last few years, it is just the most recent piece of what has been an over 10-year personal working relationship with the team at ICI, and it is a privilege to continue to collaborate together.”

The forthcoming presentation brings together six new prints by Latinx artists whose works investigate themes of personal and cultural significance, social environments, performance, and myth. Each of the selected works features a tension between a broad truth and its full expression across a diversity of contexts, a sensibility in conversation with The Armory Show’s overarching focus on defining Latin American and Latinx art. Additional collaborations by other Latinx artists will also be on view and for sale as a part of the presentation.

“We are so grateful for ART FOR CHANGE’s continued support and collaboration, and are incredibly proud of these new commissions and happy to co-present on this edition of The Armory Show,” said Manuela Paz, Director of Development and Strategic Planning at ICI. “This incredible collection of newly-commissioned prints highlights an exceptional group of Latinx artists whose cultural and stylistic diversity testifies to the urgency and significance of The Armory Show’s thematic focus for this year. It is a pleasure to contribute to this dialogue with ART FOR CHANGE.”

“We are thrilled to bring together such a talented group of Latinx artists for this collection with ART FOR CHANGE,” said Renaud Proch, Executive and Artistic Director at ICI. “The group presentation is an apt example of the work that drives us at ICI—creating and growing robust art communities by promoting diverse perspectives that present new models of engagement in response to evolving issues of equity and representation.”

As in all series, artists will receive 50% of the net proceeds of print sales.
