CHICAGO, IL.- The Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) Chicago today announces the appointment of two new members of their leadership team: Mollie Alexander Hogan as Chief Development Officer, and Wes Moran as Chief Financial Officer.

“We are excited to bring in two talented leaders to help us usher in the MCA’s next chapter,” Pritzker Director Madeleine Grynsztejn said. “With a professional history of supporting local cultural institutions and organizations, both Wes and Mollie are dedicated to promoting the artistic culture Chicago has to offer.”

Mollie Alexander Hogan

Mollie is an accomplished and values-centered development leader with an impressive track record of successful campaign execution. Currently, she is the Director of Development for the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, where she has successfully spearheaded their $80 million campaign, increased the number of individual donors by over 80%, and secured first-time funding from several major organizations. Prior to her role at Guthrie, Mollie served as Director of Development for the Kansas City Repertory Theater where she steadily increased contributed income by 80% over 9 years and led the theater’s 50th anniversary capital campaign. Although she’s been away from Chicago for the past 14 years, she is no stranger to the Chicago arts community, having previously worked with both About Face Theater and Hubbard Dance Street Chicago, bringing with her a deep passion and commitment to the arts. She holds a BA in Theater from the University of Kentucky and a certificate in Non-Profit Values-Centered Leadership from DePaul University.

“Mollie is a seasoned collaborative leader who values team development and possesses the experience to steward our donor-centric annual and institutional giving while activating and executing on our campaign,” Pritzker Director Madeleine Grynsztejn said. “I am excited to have Mollie join our team and look forward to this new leadership chapter at the MCA.”

Wes Moran

Wes currently serves as the Vice President of Finance at the Shedd Aquarium where he leads all finance and accounting operations and planning processes including annual operating budgets as well as strategic and capital campaign modeling. In addition, he oversees investment activity, regulatory compliance, grant reporting, and bond issuance. Prior to the Shedd, Wes led Finance and Operations for the Chicago Humanities Festival and Chicago youth arts-organization Marwen. Wes is a Certified Public Accountant and brings several years of public accounting experience from Pasquesi Sheppard LLC. He holds certifications in Advanced Strategy from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and in Executive Leadership from Northwestern Kellogg School of Management, as well as a BS in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.

“Wes is a thoughtful and dynamic leader who is committed to teamwork, goal alignment, and instilling effective operations,” Grynsztejn said. “He will make a great addition to the MCA team, leading us into a new future chapter.”
