PURCHASE, N.Y.- The Neuberger Museum of Art presents the exhibit Take a Seat through June 10, 2006 when the works of art will be auctioned. The preview exhibition Take a Seat features contemporary art and fine design, including paintings, prints, sculpture and more than 75 modern and contemporary chairs—some vintage, some reissued classics, some fresh from the studios of cutting-edge designers, and some created just for this show by contemporary artists.

Most pieces in the show will be available for auction or purchase. Artists included in the exhibit are: George Nelson, Nobby Cobby, Isamu Noguchi, Jean Prouvé, Ralph Pucci, Scott Richter, Tucker Robbins, Alan Siegel, Anna Sperry, Melinda Stickney-Gibson, Studio 65, Studio de Pas, Lee Tribe, Massimo Vignelli, Kevin Walz, Russell Wright and Murray Zimiles.

Also on view will be works of art made by ApparenzA Design Studio, Harry Bertoia, Phil Binaco, Dylan Cotton, Jody Culkin, Charles and Ray Eames, Ann Ferencz, Roland Flexner, Frank Gehry, Tom Gottsleben, Glen Hansen, Alan Heller/Heller Design, James Hyde, Dakota Jackson, Vladimir Kagan, Penny Kaplan, Klein Reid, Knoll, Franck Laverdin, Maya Lin, Jody Lomberg, Sharon Louden, Todd Oldham, Chuck Mack, Carl Magnusson, Paul McCobb and Mies Van Der Rohe. Take a Seat is on view May 28-June 10. Most pieces featured in the exhibition will be available for direct purchase or sale via live auction on June 10.
