MUNICH, GERMANY.- The 51st Kunst-Messe München is taking place through October 29, 2006. The fair is organized by KM Kunst-Messe GmbH & Co. KG, Munich. There are 105 fine art and antique dealers from Germany and other European countries. Works of art and antiques ranging from classical antiquities to contemporary art. The Fair traditionally focuses on fine art, antiques and collectors’ items – paintings, fine furniture, sculpture, works on paper and European and non-European applied art. Before the start of the Fair every object for sale will be examined for quality, authenticity and condition by a team of 65 international specialists. A program of free lectures in German will focus on particular aspects of collecting fields. Subjects will vary from day to day. Talks will cover both theoretical and practical examples, such as the development of furniture restoration, works on paper and modern painting.
