New Art as a Universal Language

HOLLYWOOD, FL.- The Art and Culture Center of Hollywood will present New Art as a Universal Language, on view November 17, 2006 through January 14, 2007. This exhibition will present a selected group of young international artists that have a common language for communicating their feelings and beliefs through art using a variety of contemporary media and techniques. The exhibition will present sculpture, installation, video, photography and painting. Curated by Mariavelia Savino.

This panel of curators, artists and gallery owners will discuss “What is New Art?” Exploring diverse views involving a variety of art forms from drawing to installation and from sculpture to performance, the panel will also discuss the “appropriation” and “universality” in contemporary art.
