Naples Art Association Announces New Board Members |

NAPLES, FL The Naples Art Association announces its newly-elected officers for the 2007-08 fiscal year and the addition of two new board members to the organization.
Frank Nappo was elected as president. Rich Stevens was elected as first vice president. Jon Zoler was elected as second vice president. Bob Corsarie was elected as treasurer. Robert Saltarelli was re-elected as secretary. Fred Sonnenberg will serve as immediate past president.
New board members are: Bob Edwards, senior PIM portfolio manager and managing director for investments for The Moran Asset Management Group of Wachovia Securities, and Lou Vlasho, an independent consultant who owns The Vlasho Group, Inc. and who serves as vice president of Rimaco Corp., which operates Vergina Restaurant in Naples and Vergina and Bayview restaurants on Marco Island.
Board members previously elected and continuing their service are: Lynda Bulloch, Angela Chinaglia, Tom Ellis, Michael Fernandez, Todd Gates, Ellin Goetz, Mary Tanner Hackney, Kim Johnson, William J. Meek III, Jody Rosenbaum, Penny Taylor and Melanie Wasmer.
The NAA also has an Advisory Board comprised of Alan Harris, Scott Herstin, Delores Sorey, Elaine Vreenegoor, and new members Sam Platt and Tom Taylor, as well as an Honorary Board comprised of Suzanne von Liebig and Beverly Watson.
Nappo, of North Naples, joined the NAA's Board in 2005 and previously served as 1st vice president. He spent 28 years as a dean with Burlington County College in Pemberton, NJ, and later worked as an account executive for Retex in New York City. Nappo earned a bachelor of arts degree from Jersey City State College (now known as New Jersey City University) in 1965 and a master's from the college in 1966. He earned his doctorate in education from Rutgers University in 1982. Nappo was named Teacher of the Year at Burlington County College in 1976 and 1978, Master of Sextant Lodge #286 in Beach Haven, NJ in 1991, and Secretary to Grand Master of Masons in New Jersey for 1994-95. With his artist wife Gabrielle, Nappo has three children and five grandchildren.
