BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA.- Malba presents Contemporáneo 20 - Mónica Giron Neocriollo, on view through November 26 and curated by Gustavo Buntinx. The exhibition presents a selection of works made between 1998 and 2007 that show the production of the artist for the last decade. Among the highlights are Ampárame y guíame, Cabezas reducidas and Ósmosis intellectual. For the first time the great sculpture work Neocriollo is on view.
Gustavo Buntinx wrote: From her technique and her title, this exhibition is conceived by Giron as an eccentric and marginal anacronism, almost like a wax museum. The artist proposes a ventral introspection, a regression to the ancestral and to the real.
She was born and raised in a small town of the Patagonia, in a family of European origin and educated in the School of Visual Arts of Geneva.
