The Bank of New York Mellon Supports The Museum of Modern Art

NEW YORK.- The Bank of New York Mellon is proud to announce its lead sponsorship of The Museum of Modern Art's (MoMA) contemporary art collection installations through 2012.

"Over the course of more than 200 years, we have worked with many leading art and cultural institutions, here and abroad," said Robert P. Kelly, chairman and chief executive officer of The Bank of New York Mellon. "These collaborations demonstrate our commitment to the arts, which play an important role in developing and sustaining a vibrant and creative society."

The official announcement of the company's four-year sponsorship was made by Patrick Crowe, Managing Director with BNY Mellon Wealth Management during MoMA's fall exhibitions press preview today. "This partnership allows us to support MoMA and will help others understand and enjoy the dynamic and ever-changing visual arts of our time," Crowe said.

The first installation, Here is Every. Four Decades of Contemporary Art, organized by Connie Butler, The Robert Lehman Chief Curator of Drawings, The Museum of Modern Art, and on view from September 10, 2008 -- March 23, 2009, draws together works of film, photography, painting, sculpture, drawing, and video from MoMA's collection.
