MoMA will Stay Open Late One Monday Per Month Beginning in December



NEW YORK, NY.- The Museum of Modern Art will remain open until 8:45 p.m. on selected Mondays beginning on December 8, giving visitors extended hours to view special exhibitions such as Van Gogh and the Colors of the Night (through January 5), Joan Miró: Painting and Anti-Painting 1927-1937 (through January 12), and Pipilotti Rist: Pour Your Body Out (7354 Cubic Meters) (through February 2), as well as the Museum’s renowned collection of modern and contemporary art. The evenings will include entertainment and a cash bar.

Entry to Modern Mondays, the museum’s weekly screenings and discussions with contemporary filmmakers, is included in the cost of admission. December 8’s Modern Mondays event will be An Evening with Lonnie van Brummelen, in which the artist will screen and discuss her film Monument of Sugar: How to Use Artistic Means to Elude Trade Barriers at 7 p.m. in the Roy and Niuta Titus 2 Theater.
