"American Stories" at Lyman Allyn Art Museum



NEW LONDON, CONNECTICUT.- The Lyman Allyn Art Museum celebrates its 70th anniversary during 2002. It presents the exhibition "American Stories" through 2004. In the Palmer Galleries, American Stories displays American Fine and Decorative Arts including paintings, prints, sculpture and furniture from the museum's extensive permanent collection. From Colonial portraiture to cityscapes of developing urban environments, American Stories presents "snapshots" of American culture and identity through the eyes of its artists, craftspeople and collectors.
