HONG KONG.- Leading global auction house Christie’s announces three new senior appointments including: Lilly Chan, International Business Director of Asian Art, Ci Sun, Regional Business Development Director and Pauline Tien, Business Development Director, Christie’s Fine Art Storage Services (CFASS). As Asia remains a key driver for Christie’s and the global art business, these appointments will build on the company’s established presence in the region, and expand its capabilities in client servicing and business development.

François Curiel, President of Asia, said, “As part of our long-term strategy to continually reinforce our presence in Asia, the appointment of Lilly Chan, Ci Sun and Pauline Tien in their respective positions will strengthen three key areas of our activities: expertise, business development, as well as fine art storage. As professionals in their specific fields, they look forward to bringing their knowledge and experience to our existing teams."

Lilly Chan-International Business Director, Asian Art
Lilly Chan is International Business Director for the Asian Art departments, based in Hong Kong. Reporting to Jennifer Zatorski, Global Head of Business and Commercial Management in New York, and working alongside Jonathan Stone, Chairman and International Head of Asia Art and the company’s Asian art specialists in Hong Kong, London, New York and Paris, Lilly is responsible for the management and strategic planning of the company’s global Asian Art business. Lilly’s expertise in brand positioning, new channel development and her ability to match the needs of local markets in her support of the international department will help develop new business and identify new initiatives and investment opportunities in this important collecting category.

Prior to Christie’s, Lilly was a Vice President at J.P. Morgan in Hong Kong where she was responsible for developing growth strategies, product positioning, sales training and marketing efforts to drive revenue across the Asia Pacific region. Lilly had also worked as an independent strategic consultant supporting global leaders and large consumer organisations to define and execute high-profile expansion programmes across multiple sectors. She had also previously held roles at Western Union in the US and Asia Pacific and JP Morgan Chase in New York.

Ci Sun-Regional Business Development Director
Ci Sun is Regional Business Development Director at Christie’s Asia. Reporting to François Curiel, President of Asia and working closely with Ken Yeh, Chairman of Asia and Christie’s advisory boards, Ci is responsible for building long-term client relationships as well as developing and implementing new business initiatives across the region such as proposals, valuations and special client services. In addition to overseeing client development and business development teams based in Hong Kong, she also manages Christie’s representative offices in Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand) and East Asia (Korea, Taiwan).

Ci has close to two decades of experience in wealth management, first with Merrill Lynch in the US, then with UBS in the US and China, most recently as Managing Director, Wealth Management and Head of Wealth Management Market in Beijing. Ci holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in piano performance at the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University in Maryland, USA.

Pauline Tien-Business Development Director, CFASS
As Asia Business Development Director for Christie’s Fine Art Storage Services (CFASS), Pauline Tien is responsible for new business and client development for CFASS Singapore FreePort. Reporting to New York-based Joseph Stasko, International Managing Director of CFASS, Pauline works closely with external industries such as insurance, banking and financial services, as well as with colleagues from Christie’s other businesses such as auctions, private sales and real estate, to promote and generate new business for CFASS.

Prior to joining Christie’s, Pauline managed an art exhibition program in Shanghai and Taiwan, building key relationships in the business. She also had substantial luxury retail and brand management experience in the Greater China and Southeast Asia region.
