NEW YORK, NY.- Nye and Company announced its upcoming Sale of Important Silver, English, Continental and American Furniture, Decorative Arts, and Paintings, on iGavelAuctions.com, September 10-24, 2013.

“We are thrilled to kick off the Fall season with this spectacular array of English, Continental and American material which spans the 18th through 20th centuries, ” says John Nye, founder of eponymous auction house. “For silver collectors and aficionados, this is a rare opportunity to purchase monumental pieces from a single-owner collection, new to the market.” Exquisite achievements by such illustrious silver manufactures as Tiffany & Co., Gorham, Reed and Barton, Dominick and Haff, Georg Jensen, and Edward Farrell, among others, highlight the offerings. “With our estimates low," says Nye, "buyers of every taste and pocketbook will enjoy the chance to acquire extraordinary silver pieces, as well as a wide variety of decorative arts and paintings at attractive prices.”

*A 19th century Seven Piece "Chrysanthemum" Pattern Sterling Silver Coffee & Tea Service, which was exhibited in the Tiffany & Co. booth at the 1893 World’s Columbian Exhibition in Chicago and is the same pattern that Congress commissioned for President Woodrow Wilson’s youngest daughter Eleanor on the occasion of her wedding (Estimate: $40,000-60,000).

*A 19th century Greek Revival Style Sterling Silver Eight Piece Coffee and Tea Service, by Tiffany & Co. (Estimate: $30,000-40,000).

*A 19th century Japanese Influenced Hand Hammered Sterling Silver and Other Metals Water Pitcher, by Tiffany & Co. (Estimate: $20,000-30,000).

*A Set of Twelve 19th century "Chrysanthemum" Pattern Sterling Silver Dinner Plates, by Tiffany & Co. (Estimate: $15,000-30,000).

*A 20th century Danish Sterling Silver Hand Hammered Ice Bucket, by Georg Jensen (Estimate: $15,000-30,000).

*A 19th century Tiffany & Co. Makers "Chrysanthemum" Pattern Sterling Silver Footed Oval Centerpiece Bowl, (Estimate: $7,000-10,000).

*A Pair of 19th century Tiffany & Co. all- over Chased Floral Repousse Motif Oval Footed Covered Vegetable Bowls. (Estimate: $6,000-12,000).

*A late-19th century Hand- Hammered Sterling Silver Monumental Vase, by Black Starr Frost (Estimate: $5,000-10,000).

*An English Silver Three Piece Tea Service, by Edward Farrell, circa 1839 (Estimate: $4,000-8,000)
