Quinn & Farmer restructures ownership, announces upcoming move to new, larger location
Paul Quinn will assume full ownership of the auction business.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA.- Later this month, Quinn & Farmer Auctions will move from its present venue to a larger complex located east of Charlottesville, off I-64 east and closer to Richmond. The new address is 8854 Three Notch Road, Troy, VA 22974.

In conjunction with the move, Paul Quinn will assume full ownership of the auction business, which will be rebranded “Quinn’s Auction Galleries Central Virginia” and operate in concert with the flagship Quinn's Auction Galleries in Falls Church, northern Virginia. At the same time, Ken Farmer will redirect his focus toward antiques appraisals and wealth management under the banner “Ken Farmer & Associates.”

“Ken and I are looking forward to working together in the future in a way that makes sense for both of us,” said Paul Quinn.

Farmer added, “This new arrangement allows me to concentrate on my clients and work more closely with them without having to worry about the day-to-day operations of an auction business. I am confident that Paul and I will both be happy with the outcome.”

Quinn & Farmer’s current managing director, Skip Usry, will continue in this role, and all of the firm’s current staff, including Ken's wife, Jane Farmer, will transition to the new location.

The last of the weekly Treasure Auctions at the 2109 India Road location in Charlottesville was slated for September 14th. On Saturday, September 26th, the new location in Troy will be launched with a grand-opening multi-estate Fine and Decorative Arts Auction.

Ken Farmer & Associates is headed by celebrity appraiser Ken Farmer, a 20-year veteran of PBS’ venerable Antiques Roadshow. He will be providing appraisals, art-brokerage services and professional consultation to clients across the country, as well as serving as a guest speaker at public and private events. More information can be found at www.kenfarmerllc.com.

Quinn’s Auction Galleries is the largest antiques and fine art auction house in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Its Falls Church location serves northern Virginia and the Washington, DC metro area, while the new central Virginia gallery is convenient to Charlottesville and Richmond.
