ST. LOUIS, MO.- The Saint Louis Art Museum recently promoted Sean ONeal to director of digital experience and media to oversee a new department charged with identifying new ways to use technology to interpret and share the collection, advance understanding and appreciation of art, and reach new audiences.
Since coming to the Art Museum in 2007, ONeal has taken on a significantly expanded scope of responsibilities, including board secretary, custodian of records, and project analyst. Following the Commissions adoption of Art, Experience, Community: The Saint Louis Art Museum Strategic Plan in 2014, ONeal was appointed co-leader of the museums staff implementation team responsible for the development of a comprehensive digital strategy.
Sean possesses a deep knowledge of the museums mission and institutional values and a commitment to managing the change that this project entails, said Brent R. Benjamin, the Barbara B. Taylor Director.
Sean holds a bachelor of science degree in organizational leadership from Pennsylvania State University and a masters degree in communication from Chapman University in Orange, Calif.
