NEW YORK, NY.- iGavel Auctions announced its newest offshoot: iGavel Interiors, which fulfills a whole new role in real estate transactions. For the homeowner looking to sell, iGavel Interiors sells what the Realtor doesn’t: interior furnishings.

Launching the iGavel Interiors platform, are two sales are currently on the iGavel Auctions site: a distinguished estate in Far Hills, New Jersey, with an on-site preview Sunday the 18th of September and bidding that ends on September 19th; and a residence on St. Simons Island, in Glynn County, Georgia, often referred to as the Southern Newport, with bidding through September 15.

The New Jersey property is a fieldstone-clad mansion that is furnished with traditional and modern furniture and decorative arts—all available at modest prices. The décor of the Georgia residence combines the feel of a turn-of-the-century hunting lodge with a Newport-style cottage. It belonged to Carol Brubaker, a Glynn County commissioner, chair of the Board of Health, and reporter for the local paper, The Brunswick News. Her fine taste is evidenced by the things she carefully chose from her extensive travels.

Says Lark Mason, founder of iGavel, “iGavel Interiors answers the need for an online platform that presents decorative items for sale in a single-sale format. Via this platform, higher-value antiques and decorative objects can be looked at by buyers at anytime, anywhere around the globe.

According to Mason, iGavel Interiors makes it far easier to merchandise fine home furnishings—and not just locally ¬— as do other traditional estate sellers. “If all of a sudden a homeowner has to downsize because of a job transfer, retirement, marriage, divorce, empty nest syndrome or some other big life upheaval, we provide the seller with an international audience.”

With auction house-quality photographs, iGavel Interiors enables an online purchaser to imagine items in a new setting: their own home. iGavel Interiors presents exquisite glassware, luxurious upholstered seating, and functional and practical objects accompanied by expert descriptions. Whereas an ordinary estate sale works only in a local setting, iGavel Interiors offers a knowledgeably curated experience that allows the items offered to be shared with both local and international audiences.

Bidders are offered the convenience of an automatic credit card charge and nearly immediate invoice and expedited-shipping options for every item.
