ASPEN, CO.- Art Aspen, the city’s first and only art fair dedicated to contemporary art work, returns to the Aspen Ice Garden August 3-6, featuring approximately 30 of the country’s preeminent art galleries, showcasing pieces from 1950-present. Now in its seventh year, galleries taking part in Art Aspen are showcased in an elegant and unique boutique-style setting with the spectacular Ajax Mountain as the backdrop, providing the ideal environment for collectors, art patrons and VIPs to mix and mingle while experiencing this dynamic marketplace for important art.

Curators, collectors, and art enthusiasts will want to mark their calendars and make plans to attend Art Aspen, Aspen’s first and only art fair dedicated to contemporary art. Attendees to the 2017 Fair will have the opportunity to discover museum-quality pieces, as well as the latest works from established and up-and-coming artists. The fair will feature galleries from across the United States including Nancy Hoffman Gallery (New York); Yares Art (New York/Santa Fe/Palm Springs); Richard Levy Gallery (Albuquerque); Duane Reed Gallery (St. Louis); Timothy Yarger Fine Art (Beverly Hills), Cindy Lisica Gallery (Houston) and many more.

“Art Aspen has quickly become the must-attend art event of the summer for collectors, artists and art patrons looking for modern and contemporary works of art from prestigious galleries from around the United States,” said Donna Davies, Vice President of the Urban Expositions Art Group. “Aspen has a thriving gallery and arts scene, and Art Aspen is a wonderful complement to this environment.”

The Opening Night Preview is one of the most highly-anticipated events of the year, and offers attendees the first chance to explore and acquire artwork from exhibiting galleries.

New this year, attendees will find an enhanced café and lounge area at the fair, featuring local delicacies confections, and sweets, as well as gourmet coffee, cocktails, wine, refreshments and light snacks from local Aspen restaurants. It’s the perfect place to sit, relax and recharge while exploring the fair.

In addition, the new Art Walk will be held on Saturday evening, allowing fairgoers and visitors to Aspen the opportunity to experience downtown Aspen’s vibrant art scene by seeing a diverse number of galleries.

Art Aspen is open to the public Friday and Saturday 12 pm – 7 pm; Sunday 12 pm – 6 pm. Tickets are $20 online in advance; $25 at the door.
