Read More, Write Less: The Strategy You Must Not Follow.

We have always been taught to read more. So we do. We spend a lot of time reading, in school or otherwise. But, reading will not always help, you need to write too. This I learned the hard way.

I have always been a thorough reader. Traveling, eating, watching, playing, there was always a book in my hand. Even when it came down to preparing for my exams, I read more than I wrote. But then during my second year in college, I was introduced to the French language. A fascinating language with words that sounded as beautiful as its country of origin. When I started taking up the classes, I thought, sure it will be difficult, but nothing that cannot be overcome. Little did I know that it was going to be a nightmare for me. The first few days were a breeze but then slowly the classes started to dig deeper into the language and I was forced to write French.

The French Classes
While everyone else had gotten a grasp at the language, I still tried to read more and find my way out of the toughest parts of the language. The course works, essays, there were so many assignments, I couldn't wrap my head around them. One thing was clear, for all the reading I have been doing, my English writing was good, but converting my English thoughts into a French-language essay, it was a tough fight. I tried writing a couple of essays but my grades reflected the sheer incompetence in me. I was stuck. I wanted to learn the language and become not an expert but at least good at it.

The Idea
So, banging my head against a brick wall, with all the doors shutting down on me, hoping to find some help, I went online. Going through various pages and links, I found companies and freelancers offering professional French translation services. So, I did some more research about them and sighed in relief. I had found the perfect option. These French translation services could help me with my essays. So, what then? I give my translator a call and he is always quick to understand the gravity of my situation. From there, all I did was write my essays and coursework in English and they would translate them into professional-looking French and deliver it back to me. This process gave me enough time to really learn and understand a lot of the language and, within a few weeks I was writing my own articles in French. What really helped me was the professionalism the freelance translator I work with followed and his assistance in everything there is to do with writing. Something like an extra note on the top of the page informing about the new words used, really helped me.

Now, I can proudly say that I am a master at the French language. For writing, more than the schooling, the use of translation services helped me. You should give it a try too.
