MEXICO CITY, MEXICO.-Image taken of an archaeological sculpture called "Mask of green jade with Spondilys shells" located beside human remains found in one of the pyramids at the Teotihuacan archaeological site, 50 km northeast of Mexico City. Excavations carried out in the Pyramid of the Moon, one of the gigantic structures of the Teotihuacan site, discovered 12 human skeletons, presumably warriors captured and sacrified around 200-250 AD.
