ASUNCION, PARAGUAY.- Police in Paraguay have recovered more than forty-six paintings by Spanish artist Esteban Vicente that had disappeared. The works were in possession of a man that was hired to take care of the artist during the last years of the artists life. The works are valued at around 375,000 euros and were to be taken to Argentina to be sold. The works were recovered thanks to Spanish art dealer Elvira González, who denounced them. The works were found this past Friday in the home of Hugo Ismael Salim Yaluk, 42.
Elvira González reported that she received an e-mail with information that works by Esteban Vicente would be sold in Argentina and informed the police about this.
