Acclaimed Italian Architect Antonio Citterio Visits Boston



BOSTON, MA.- In a rare and exclusive event in Boston on November 30 Mr. Antonio Citterio, was welcomed in celebration of his continued contribution to the advancement of innovation and creativity in design. Mr. Citterio is the famed architect and product designer for such brands as Arclinea, B&B Italia, Flos and Kartell and has won numerous awards including Italy's highest honor, the Compasso D'Oro, for his work. The event, sponsored by the Boston kitchen design firm Arclinea and acclaimed furniture retailer Montage, took place at the adjoined locations and was widely attended by figures from the press, design and academic community alike.

The following day, by invitation of the Harvard Graduate School of Design, Mr. Citterio presented a historical and a conceptual examination of his product design work with brands such as Arclinea and B&B Italia as well as some of his newest architectural projects with Bulgari Hotels and Resorts to students and faculty alike. Professor Marco Steinberg's graduate course, titled "Product Design: Industrial Design", provided the venue for this very special event, which was held at the Harvard Graduate School of Design's Piper Auditorium.
