Bonhams announces promotion of Leslie Roskind to Head of Jewellery, Hong Kong

HONG KONG.- Bonhams, the international auction house, has announced the promotion of Leslie Roskind to Head of Jewellery, Hong Kong, effective from 12 October 2020. Based in Hong Kong, Ms. Roskind will lead Bonhams’ team of jewellery specialists in the region, spearheading business getting and selling strategies, as well as working with the wider global jewellery team on all sales and projects.

Previously Senior Specialist for the jewellery department at Bonhams New York, Ms. Roskind brings with her more than 25 years of auction, retail and wholesale experience. Prior to joining Bonhams in 2019, Ms. Roskind was Director of Acquisitions for the renowned jeweller Fred Leighton, after her 17-year tenure at Christie’s New York, Los Angeles and Geneva. During her tenure at Christie’s, Ms. Roskind played a key role in curating a series of successful themed sales, as well as in managing high profile auctions including The Jewels of Elizabeth Taylor.

Ms. Roskind is a graduate of Boston University and the American College of Switzerland. She is also a qualified Graduate Gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), as well as a member of the American Society of Jewelry Historians and Gem X.

The next Hong Kong Jewels and Jadeite sale is scheduled to take place in late November this year. More details will be announced in due course.
