NEW YORK, NY.- LAUNCH F18 is presenting a four-person exhibition focusing on the work of Howard Fonda, B.D. Graft, Scooter LaForge and Wendy White.

Drawing on inspiration from Alexander Calder, For Calder (In Motion) is an exhibition focusing on four unique painters that will rotate artworks once a week. The idea presents a new form of the exhibition weekly, and allows the show to be viewed not just through one lens, but through a multitude of shifting perspectives. Each iteration of the exhibition will include three artists on view at a time, totaling five unique viewings throughout the duration of the exhibition.

Taken from Calder’s idea of “composing motions” this exhibition is meant to serve as an open and sequential experience, connecting the motion and pace of each individual artwork to the performance of each week, presenting the exhibition in a completely new way. Similar to the individual forms of Calder’s mobile sculptures, each of these four artists take their own individual shape within the exhibition, providing a distinctive but balanced contribution in a constantly evolving show. For Calder (In Motion) emphasizes and aims to capture the movement, ephemerality and unpredictability of an evolving and shifting perspective.

Each new iteration of this exhibition will be on view every week starting Thursday at 12:00 PM (EST), followed by documentation also presented online and on social media.

This exhibition also includes an online viewing room portion, which launched in conjunction with the in person show on Thursday, December 9th. For more information please visit launchf18.com/viewing-room
