Stay in Shape This Festive Holidays

The season of festivities is upon us, soon there will be Christmas and new year events, and you know what that means; it means there are going to be a lot of parties, lazy days, over-drinking, plus eating resulting in neglected fitness regimes. And this negligence will further invite weight gain, stress and reduced fitness levels. So, it's like a nightmare, but how can we limit the side effects of the festive season while we don’t miss out on the fun stuff?

1. Get Up Early
You must have heard that saying that early to bed and early to rise can make a man healthy, wealthy and wise. That's the thing which you can try to stay fit and active throughout this festive season. Let me clear over here that getting up early doesn't mean that you have to miss out on the party; it just means that you can utilize this time for your exercise and keep maintaining your fitness commitment. And you see if you follow a routine, you will not feel guilty about celebrations fun.

2. Keep It Short
Do you know it is claimed in recent studies that there is no need to spend hours pounding the treadmill to look your best? You can go for short HIIT training sessions. Get optimum results to spend less time and don't miss your big night party. Activity sessions of up to 10 minutes are proven very successful. So, it is not compulsory that you put aside a specific 30 minutes every day you can try to break it down into 10 minutes blasts throughout the day.

3. Make It Social
Try to steer away from organizing a lunch out when planning a get together. Rather than that, you can go for spa days, ice skating, spa days, and Winter walks. You have no idea that these activities will provide you so more fun than you have ever imagined. Motivate each other by getting into a group of people who go to the gym together before you get to the party. Uplift each other be the group that party together and work out together.

4. Resist Temptation
You have to improve your patience game. You cannot eat chocolates because you find several boxes in the cupboard; you thought you would eat them today and start your diet on January 1st. No doubt you can have your fun. I'm not saying that you can't even have a piece but just try to have some in a moderate amount that does not result in putting a lot of weight. You have no idea that every extra calorie you consume in these festive holidays will give you short term pleasure but will result in potential weight gain. Go for snacks like salad or fruits or something light but delicious rather than going for high calorie crisps and chocolates.

5. Stay Hydrated
Keep your body hydrated because you have no idea how much this extra alcohol, refined sugars and central heating cause your body to dehydrate. A dehydrated body will not perform well during exercise, but you will see its reaction in your other body organs, too, like it will slow down your digestive system, which means slow metabolism rate and potential weight gain, and you don't want to that. That's why keep your body hydrated by drinking enough healthy liquids to stay in shape and keep your body's metabolism rate normal, so you enjoy life. Remain alert, fresh-faced, prevent hangovers and keep yourself in shape by staying hydrated.

6. Dress Well
