LOS ANGELES, CALIF.- A rare and personal telephone and address book owned and used by Elvis Presley, “The King of Rock and Roll,” is about to hit the auction block at Kruse GWS Auctions for the very first time. The address book was personally owned and used by Elvis and contains handwritten names, addresses and telephone numbers of some of the most influential people in his personal life and of his career. From starlets to major Hollywood players, Elvis kept personal numbers by his side in his bedside nightstand for many years. The telephone address book is well documented by a personal recollection by Priscilla Presley adding to its unique provenance. The book is part of a carefully curated auction to take place at Kruse GWS Auctions on Saturday, January 28th, 2023 beginning at 10:00 a.m. PT. The “Artifacts of Hollywood and Music” auction features a collection of unusual artifacts from the life and career of Elvis Presley, as well as a collection of unique memorabilia from film and television.

The telephone/address book contains phone numbers and some addresses of important players in Elvis’ life and cherished friends including Colonel Tom Parker, Pat and Shirley Boone, Nancy Sinatra, RCA’s Felton Jarvis, Joe Esposito and many others. There is also a page listing the names and phone numbers of Elvis’ entourage including Alan Fortas, Joe, Marty, Jerry and Billy. The book also contains various bits of papers and notes including a page from The Baton Rouge Hilton with names, phone numbers, addresses and a hand-drawn map of the highways surrounding the Mohave Desert. The extraordinary artifact from the life of Elvis Presley could not get more personal than that of a book which held important names and contact information of those Elvis cared about.

Additional rare Presley highlights includes Elvis Presley’s personally owned “EP” Monogrammed Hand Tooled Leather Attache case, which features ornate hand-tooled Mesoamerican designs; Elvis Presley’s personal bathroom scale from the Hillcrest Road home, covered in gold velvet in true Elvis fashion; and Elvis Presley’s personally owned Walther Model PPK/S 9mm Kurz Handgun Engraved “Elvis” and “TCB.” Other lots include Elvis Presley’s Valium Prescription Pill bottle prescribed by Dr. Kaplan from Don’s Medical Center Pharmacy in Palm Springs, CA and an Elvis Presley Prescription bottle for itching; Elvis Presley’s 1940s Toy Gun from his Tupelo, Miss home and even a pair of red panties thrown by a fan to Elvis on stage and much more.

The “Artifacts of Hollywood & Music” auction features one of the most interesting and unique collections of Elvis Presley memorabilia, most of which are accompanied by personal written recollections of each item by Priscilla Presley. The rare offerings will be auctioned during Elvis Presley’s birthday month of January. Other Hollywood highlights in the auction include Elizabeth Taylor’s prototype Avon Taj Mahal necklace; Elvis and Priscilla’s Champagne Glass from their wedding; Elvis Presley’s Hume Highschool 1950s yearbook; Liza Minnelli signed personal checks; Richard Burton’s “The Robe” smock and tunic; Ronald Reagan’s “Stallion Road” Tweed Sports Jacket; Rock Hudson’s Christmas Stocking with Personal Photos and much more.
